Application for stands and stalls should be made early since space is limited and it is allocated on a first-come-first served basis. Applications close in mid June, or earlier if fully booked. In 2008 the Craft Tent was fully booked long before that. Please do not apply late - you will be disappointed! The committee always considers the possibility of extra space - but the solution is not easy, and 2009 is likely to be busy again. The lesson is simple - book early for 2009 for this popular feature.

For the last two years the weather preceding the show was atrocious, but the fields were able to cope. The committee is now well experienced at making last minute arrangements for laying hardcore and tracking - because "the show must go on".
The show is open all day, and is held in several fields at Merrymeet in the district of Caradon, on the eastern side of Cornwall. The show site is clearly signposted from the A390, the Liskeard to Callington Road. There are numerous displays; special events; competitions; entertainments; trade stands; roundabouts; and sideshows. Marquees are provided for teas; bars; crafts; stalls; and for the smaller animals and poultry. The Liskeard Town Band will be playing. There is plentiful car parking, and lots of places to picnic or buy lunch and snacks.
The Liskeard Show is one of the biggest in the South West, and has always had a wide selection of high quality entries in the large animal classes, and you can see smaller animals, cavies, donkeys, poultry, fruit and vegetables, and flowers, as well: or better still, come and compete!
